Additional Rebuilding Expense Coverage

Pays the total cost to rebuild your home if it is destroyed by a covered cause of loss – even if it exceeds the policy coverage limit.1

Personal Property Replacement Cost Payment Option

Pays the amount it takes to replace your destroyed property with items of the same quality. Your claim payment amount isn’t reduced by depreciation.1

Coverage for Expenses Imposed by Your Municipality

Sewer and service line replacement or repair. Most homeowners don’t know this – and it can cost them plenty: If the sewer or other service line connected to your house has to be repaired or replaced, you – not your city or town – are likely to be on the hook for it. That can cost more than $30,000. Save yourself a portion of this expense by adding a $66 endorsement to your home policy that provides up to $10,000 in coverage.

Rebuilding your home after a total loss. Building codes have changed quite a bit. If you have to rebuild your home, you have to obey local ordinances or laws related to building codes. Doing so can cost you tens of thousands of dollars. A good home insurance policy includes “Ordinance or Law” coverage against this expense.

Police and fire department service charges. A police or fire department that responds to a call about your property can charge you several hundred dollars – even if you didn’t make the call and it was a false alarm. It’s a good idea to make sure your policy includes coverage for these municipal service charges.
