Notice to California Residents

 

Subject to certain limits under California law, California residents may ask us to provide them with (1) a list of certain categories of personal information we have disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year and (2) the identity of those third parties. To obtain this information, please send an email to CARequest@ge.com with "California Shine the Light Privacy Request" in the subject line and in the body of your message.

During the preceding 12 months, GE businesses, including Electric Insurance Company and its subsidiaries, may have collected personal information and processed it pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) which provides certain rights. For details on this collection and processing please see the GE Privacy Policy at https://www.ge.com/privacy.

The CPPA allows California residents to request that a business that collects California consumers' personal information give consumers additional transparency and access to the specific pieces of personal information that the business has collected about the consumer. California residents also have the right to a submit a request for deletion of information under certain circumstances. Consistent with the California law, if you choose to exercise your rights, we will not charge you different prices or provide different quality of services unless those differences are related to your information. Please submit your request by sending an email to Electric_Insurance_Privacy_Inquiry@ge.com with "CPPA Request" in the subject line and in the body of your message and identify what your specific request is.

Once we receive your request, we may verify it by requesting information sufficient to confirm your identity, including asking you for additional information. If you would like to use an agent registered with the California Secretary of State to exercise your rights, we may request evidence that you have provided such agent with power of attorney or that the agent otherwise has valid written authority to submit requests to exercise rights on your behalf.
